Experiance in Oil and Gas & Sample DAILY REPORT INTERNSHIP

Assalamualaikum.. 

Hari ni dah masuk hari kedua umat islam berpuasa. Selamat menunaikan ibadah puasa ye kawan - kawan. puasa betul - betul tau. jangan ngelat.. hehe

Ok lah hari ni sebenarnya tak de cerita apa - apa pun..Just nak kongsi Contoh Daily Report Internship untuk kawan - kawan yang baru nak jalani latihan industri. Mesti ramai yang tak tahu nak buat daily report macam mana kan.. So, disebabkan aku ni rajin lagi baik hati serta cantik bak bidadari (masuk bakul angkat sendiri ni namanya, hahaha) maka, aku update lah entry khas buat korang - korang yang baru start intern. Report aku ni kene buat dalam english. Aku ni, tak lah terer sangat, stakat yes, no, yes no tu aku tau lah.. Kalau salah grammar, or spelling ke, harap maafkan lah ye.. 

Aku practical dekat sebuah company yang buat kerja untuk project marine dan oil and gas. Nama company aku Actual Builder Sdn Bhd. Actual Builder ni adalah anak syarikat kepada Right Proceed Sdn Bhd. Right Proceed sdn bhd ni more kepada Marine works and Actual Builder sdn bhd pulak more kepada oil and gas. Cerita pasal oil and gas ni, bukan lah semata - mata tentang minyak. Banyak sebenarnya pecahannya. Kalau nak cerita pasal oil and gas dan marine works ni memang tak habis sampai esok. So, aku skip je ok. Nanti ada masa lagi, aku cerita more details. 

Setiap student yang practical dalam bidang engineering memang wajib didedahkan dengan site. Dulu aku dihantar ke project pembinaan Dewan Konvokesyen UTHM. Building construction dengan oil and gas construction sangat berbeza. Kalau building construction, banyak main dengan concrete, rainforcement, formwork dan macam - macam lagi.. Tapi dalam oil and gas construction ni benda - benda tu semua memang ko susah nak jumpa. Apa yang ada disekeliling kau hanyalah steel structure, pipe line, orang welding sane sini, grinding yang mana semuanya bermain dengan api, lepas tu, banyak benda yang melibatkan mechanical dan electrical works. Kerja dalam bidang ni memang sedia maklum, gaji memang berkepok lah. Engineer - engineer kat sini gaji paling sikit pon 7K or 8k.. tak delah yang bawah dari tu. Tu baru keje dekat onshore. Kalau dapat pergi offshore lagi lah beriban gaji. Ok stop pasal gaji.. cerita bab gaji memang orang suke, tapi kalau nak masuk dalam bidang ni, memang susah bak ang, pastu selain risiko tinggi, tanggungjawab pon tinggi. Boleh dikatakan hari - hari stress dan kalau tak kuat, asik nangis je. macam aku awal - awal dulu.. Kalau aku keje, memang aku dah hanta surat benti dah, mengenangkan nak lulus intern, terpaksa hadapi jugak lah. Bila difikirkan semula, tak ada kerja yang senang, goyang kaki masuk duit.. Lainlah kalau bapak korang millionaire, tu tak yah cite lah.. huhu ok lah rasanya dah panjang lebar sangat aku bebel. Jom kite start dengan week 1 untuk internship aku ni. Weeks seterusnya, aku akan update untuk next entry ok..

SUMMARY OF WEEK 1

PROJECT   : PROVISION OF FRONT END ENGINEERING DESIGN (FEED) AND       ENGINEERING, PROCUREMENT, CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION & COMMISSIONING (EPCIC) OF SK316 DEVELOPMENT PROJECT.

CLIENT        : PETRONAS CARI GALI SDN BHD. 

COMPANY  : ACTUAL BUILDER SDN BHD

(Monday: 19 January 2015)

First day of my industrial training start at 9.00 a.m. at Actual Builder Sdn Bhd Main Office. I have been introduced to Mr. Hj Zainal Abidin Bin Sanudin as a General Manager and Mr. Mohd Aizat Bin Mahful which is Project Manager for Project SK316 Malaysia Marine Heavy Engineering (MMHE East).  Mr. Aizat will guide me when i have enter to the site. Before I can enter to the site, I have to attend the “Safety Induction Course” at E-Pass One Stop Centre in Taman Mawar, Pasir Gudang and also have to pass an E-Pass examination.

Besides that, Mr. Hj. Zainal also explains to me about background of the company. There are several type of services that company provide which is Architectural, Plumbing, Piping, Mechanical installation, structural, Marine repair and conversion, Steel fabrication, Asbestos removal and disposal and supply the skilled labor.

Other than that, I have been taught by Mr. Hj. Zainal about the ISO 9001:2008 regarding the Quality Management system. He explains more details to make sure that I understand the important of quality system which is Quality Assurance/ Quality Control (QA/QC) and Quality Management System (QMS). He also taught about the flow or the step to get the tender. The following show the step of tender.

Step 1: Prequalification
MMHE requires potential Tenderers to qualify for large and complex contracts and all tenderers that meet the pre-qualification criteria will be allowed to submit tenders. 

Step 2: Invitation to Tender and Issuance of Tender Documents
A general Procurement or Services Notice will be published in Local Company Web Site www.mhb.com.my. This includes the following:

·         The Goods, Services and Works to be procured.

·         Relevant Time events (Collection of Tender Documents/Submission of Bids).

·         How to express interest and obtain additional information.

Step 3: Receive and evaluate bids 
The bids received will be evaluated by MMHE and the contract will be awarded to the successful Bidders who has offered the optimum technical and Commercial proposal as per the Tendering requirements.

Step 4: Announcement of successful bidder 
Once all bids for the Tenders have been evaluated, MMHE will decide on the successful bidder and draw up a contract, award letter or a Local Purchase Order, which will be based largely on the technical requirements and scope of work contained in the Invitation to Bid and the bid received and agreed clarifications. This will be signed jointly by the bidder and MMHE Company. Regret Letters will be sent to unsuccessful Bidders.

(20 January 2015 : Tuesday)

Second day of my industrial training. I have been introduces to Mr.Cheong as the Project Manager for project Malikai in Marine Business Unit (MBU), MMHE West. He also involve in Health, Safety and Environment Committee at the MMHE West project as a leader for our company. He taught to me about the important of safety and health at the workplace. At the MMHE they have Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Department which is including HSE Management Committee (HSE MC).  They comprises senior management and employee representatives, meets monthly to monitor the Group of HSE performance and to provide input on issues related to health, safety and the environment.

After lunch hour, I have to do my medical checkup and x-ray to full fill the requirement that MMHE needed before I can attend the safety induction training. Mr. Mahmood as the architect manager brings me to the clinic to do the medical checkup. After I have done my medical checkup and prepare all the document that MMHE needed such as IC photocopy and CIDB photocopy, my superior give permission to go back early at 4.00 p.m.

(21 January 2015: Wednesday)

Third day of my industrial training.  I’ve factory visit with Mr. Cheong at Taman Kota Putri. At the factory I can see how they manufacture the pipe for plumbing system. There are two type of the pipe first is copper and the second is UPVC. Other than that, they also have fabricated handrail for supply the small project. Mr. Cheong explains to me about the function of each pipe and their testing. For the copper pipe, they have two types of testing which is leak test and hydro test. The important of this testing is to ensure the pipe is in good condition and not leaking. In addition, it is also to make sure that pipe can received high pressure from the operation process.

(22 January 2015: Thursday)

Today, I go the clinic to get my medical checkup with Mr. Mahmood. After get my result, Mr. Mahmood bring me to the store to get my full PPE before I can get in to the site. He gives me coverall, safety shoes, safety helmet and goggle.

After lunch hour, I’ve site visit with Mr. Cheong at MMHE West. During the site visit, Mr. Cheong show me the project that our company involve such as accommodations for the marine work, this is under architectural work, second is supply and fix plumbing work at the ship and module (platform).

Meet Miss Khatty to send the E-pass Form include with medical checkup, IC and CIDB card. After get the approval from the construction department, I need to go to E-Pass One Stop Centre in Taman Mawar, Pasir Gudang register the safety course and get the date to attend safety induction course.
