SUMMARY OF WEEK 4
PROJECT : PROVISION OF FRONT END ENGINEERING DESIGN (FEED) AND ENGINEERING, PROCUREMENT, CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION & COMMISSIONING (EPCIC) OF SK316 DEVELOPMENT PROJECT.

(9 February 2015: Monday)
Today I have attended HSE Tool Box Meeting with client (PETRONAS) and MMHE. After finish tool box meeting i have joint Mr. Hafiz and Mr Azuan in weekly site meeting at MMHE meeting room. In meeting room they have discuss about progress site and the documentation. There are several problems that they discuss to find the solution. One of the problems is double door at WHP building. Foreman have measure the size of frame wrongly. The double door that they order is little bit small from the size that foreman gives. The solution is they have to add panel and welding it at the top of the door frame to cover the hole before double door they were install.
After lunch hour, I help Mr. Hafiz (QAQC) prepare method statement for MAPRESS Copper and make the demo report for MAPRESS Copper.

Today I have to prepare Hydro Test for UPVC pipe report.
In this test we use two type of pipe spool and label as Pipe Spool A and Pipe Spool B as shown in picture 1.
Next, open all high point vent during filling of water. This is to ensure no air is trapped. Start filling water from lowest point and let the water overflow from the highest points. This is to keep air bubbles expelled from the system.

PIPE SPOOL A
a) We performed the hydro test for the pipe. Initially, we maintain the test up to 9 bars and hold 3 minutes. We start with 0 bars and continuous increase the pressure to 1, 2, 3, until 9 bars withhold 3 minutes.

a) When it’s had reach until 9 bars, we found the leakage from the flange portion

After lunch hour, Mr. Azuan wants me to update progress work at weekly progress report. Progress works must update every week and submit to MMHE by Friday.
(11 February 2015: Wednesday)
Follow Mr. Hafiz to do Joint Inspection with MMHE and client for wet box (Toilet). This wet box was fabricated at factory and we need to inspect for make sure the wet box in good condition after deliver at site. After done joint inspection, Mr. Azuan ask me to measure the area for LQ building (wall and underside area).

Today I have attended general HSE tool box meeting. After finish Tool box meeting, Mr. Hafiz and I do the inspection for wet box (toilet module). Total balance of wet box that we have to inspect is 16 boxes. This inspection is only done by Mr. Hafiz and me with 2 people as a helper.

Go to the site with Mr. Hafiz and see the welder doing welding process. Mr. Hafiz explains to me about the welding test. There have 4 type of welding test, which are UT, RT, MPI and DPI. UT test is used sound wave for detect the weldment discontinuities. This testing is use high frequency sound to penetrate the material.
SUMMARY OF WEEK 5
(16 February 2015 : Monday)
Today, during at site, I had seen lifting process at CPP Technical Building. They want to lift machine that have weight more than a tone from ground to the CPP Technical Building. What can I see is when lifting process, all the safety officer, rigger and crane operator will work together to ensure that no accident can happen.
Before machine can lift into the CPP Technical building, safety officer will ensure all the straps are securely strapped in every corner of the machine. When everything is ready, rigger will give a signal to the crane operator and crane operator will slowly lift the machine. While machine are lifted, rigger will blow the whistle so the entire worker will knows that they are doing lifting process.

(17 February 2015: Tuesday)
Today, our site team will lift the toilet module into the CPP Living quarters. Before they lift the toilet module, all the safety officer, rigger and crane operator will ensure the entire toilet module in a good condition. Besides that, our supervisor will make sure the area of the Level 1 is free of obstruction such as wire support.
